Tips for self-care and stress management

 

  1. Get regular exercise. Even 30 minutes of walking  can boost your mood.
  2. Eat healthy, regular meals. 
  3. Drink lots of water. Stay hydrated. 
  4. Prioritize getting good sleep. 
  5. Practice gratitude. Try keeping a gratitude journal. 
  6. Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to the news, including on social media.
  7. Connect with your community. Reach out to a friend or family member. 
  8. Practice mindful breathing. Try “alternate nostril breathing” (Google it!)
  9. Practice grounding. Look around and name things you, see, hear and feel. 
  10. Work outdoors in the garden or do a home improvement project.
